Awesome Waterbeds Shipping Policy

Awesome Waterbeds Responsibility
Items will be shipped via UPS, FedEx, USPS or common carrier. We will always ship the most cost effective way. We take special care that all packages are safely and properly packaged before they leave our hands. It is our dedicated mission for you to receive your purchases in perfect condition and in a timely manner. We offer Free Shipping on most items on our site, to most locations in the lower 48 states. There are certain items that are also excluded from free shipping if ordered separately. For example: Total orders that are less than $30.00 have an $8.50 shipping charge added to the order. Other exceptions are certain rural areas or some areas that are difficult to get to by tractor trailers. If you fall under this category, we will ship to the nearest possible pick up point to your address.

To keep our prices as low as possible to the majority of our customers we no longer ship to Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Canada, P.O. Boxes, APO's, or FPO's. The added expenses of complications with delays in shipping, time spent tracking orders for customers, and reshipping lost items, many times to have the original order arrive after the replacement item had been shipped were driving our low, low prices to you higher. We also can no longer ship using 3rd party shipping account numbers.

It is very rare that a problem occurs in shipped products; however, it is extremely important for you to know how to handle that rare occasion.

Customer’s Responsibility
As the consumer you are responsible for providing your correct mailing / shipping address for delivery. If your item(s) are shipped to the address you have given us and the item(s) are returned to us for a failure to deliver due to an incorrect address, then you the consumer are responsible for any extra shipping cost. Please double check your address when ordering.

Upon arrival, please examine all shipments when received for any damage, namely ripped, dirty or open boxes must be noted while the driver is still at your home. Please sign for your shipment with the words “Subject to inspection” if you have not been able to thoroughly inspect the product before the driver leaves. In this way, and only in this way, is the shipping company responsible for the damage. If this is not done, damage will be your responsibility. Your signature means that you have accepted the packages in the condition that they are in.

In extreme cases, refuse shipment and call Awesome Waterbeds at 1-888-288-4523 immediately. In many cases we will be able to have replacement product re-shipped immediately and Awesome Waterbeds will deal with the shipping company.

Special Note for Truck Line Shipments of Large Items
If your item is shipped though a freight company, they will contact you prior to delivery to let you know your date of delivery. They will usually give you a 4 to 8 hour time frame for delivery. The truck will arrive at your curbside about 7 to 14 business days after leaving the warehouse. The item will be delivered to the curbside of your address. The freight company will not take it inside or upstairs, and they do not deliver on weekends or holidays. We recommend that you have help available to move it to its final location, or open the boxes, and carry it in piece by piece. Before you sign for the delivery, it is important to inspect the packaging for any potential damage, (though rare), that may have occurred while in transit. It is normal for the packaging to show some wear; that is its purpose. However, if there is substantial visible damage to the boxes, or you can see damage to the contents of the boxes, make sure the driver makes a note about the damage, on the slip that you will be asked to sign. Open and inspect all parts right away, then call us immediately at 1-888-288-4523 so that we can process a claim, and order free replacement parts for you. If you don't suspect any damage, and after opening, you find damage, you need to contact us within 24 hours of receiving the order, or we will not be able to file a claim with the shipping company, and you will not be able to get any free replacement parts, or free shipping on the replacement parts.

Please Note: It is Crucial that you inspect all items immediately upon arrival, because we must notify the shipper within 24 hours of your delivery if there is damage. If you are not planning to use the item right away, you still need to open everything and inspect it. Your signature is your acceptance of your product just the way it is. Your order implies your consent to these terms.
